Course Information

The 5K Course is a 3.1 mile course around Downtown Houston and along Memorial  Drive. The 5K participants will pass a water stop at mile 1.5. Cheer Teams will also be placed along the course to cheer on the girls and 5K participants.

Packet Pick-Up

Girls who are currently participating in the program are already registered for the 5K and will receive their 5K materials (bibs, pins, goody bags) the morning of the event. For all other 5K participants (Running Buddies, coaches, family members and community participants), packet pick-up information is as follows:

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the 5k run take?

Finishing times vary of course, but our fastest runners will complete the run in about 25 minutes. Most runners will fall between 30-45 minutes We will be sweeping the course at one hour from the starting time to ensure all runners have returned to the starting area.

Are there aid stations available?

Water will be available at the start. And an Aid Stations will be available on the course at mile 1.5. Each participant should plan to take no more than two servings of water at the Aid Station. Runners are also encouraged to bring water bottles along on the course. Additional water and snacks will be available at the finish line.

Where should I park?

There are various places to park, including at The Aquarium at 410 Bagby. This lot is being offered to us by our fabulous The Aquarium Sponsors for free. Spaces here are limited and on a first come first serve parking. There is also parking available at The Ally Theater Lot off of Smith Street, and the Old Downtown Post Office, at 401 Franklin for $5.00 and Street Parking is free.

Can I bring my dog or pet?

For safety, all furry friends are not allowed on the course or at the event, so please leave all pets at home on 5K day! All pets will be asked to return to the pet owner's vehicle if spotted at the event.

Volunteer Registration

This event would not be possible without the help of amazing volunteers who believe in our mission and show up to support our girls. Over 100 volunteers are needed to put on our best 5K yet! Whatever your special skills and talents, we have a role for everyone.

Volunteer Today

Volunteers will help with 5K registration, assisting pre-registered runners and event day runners. Arrival time 6:00 a.m. Time commitment is 4 to 5 hours. This volunteer opportunity is best suited for individuals over 16 years of age.


Volunteers will help with logistics and operations. Potential responsibilities include: parking attendants, helping to distribute water to runners, assisting runners at the start line and on the course. Time of arrival is 6:00 a.m. Time commitment is 4 to 6 hours. These volunteer opportunities are best suited for adults, older teens and adult groups.
