Honoring Hispanic Heritage Month!
At Girls on the Run Greater Houston, we believe in celebrating the strength, passion, and resilience that make every girl unstoppable. This Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re honoring incredible women who inspire the next generation to dream big, work hard, and lead boldly—both on and off the field.
Today, we shine a light on Barbara Olivieri, a professional soccer player and the 2024 Young Player of the Year. Barbara’s journey from local Houston fields to international recognition is a testament to the power of perseverance and pride in one’s roots.
Her success reminds us that representation matters—seeing athletes like Barbara succeed helps young girls believe that their goals, no matter how big, are within reach. She embodies what it means to play with heart, lead with confidence, and uplift her community through her love of the game.
As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we honor Barbara and all the trailblazing women who continue to inspire young girls to embrace their heritage, stay active, and chase their dreams fearlessly.
💖 Girls on the Run Greater Houston celebrates the diversity, culture, and stories that make our community shine. Together, we’re empowering every girl to know her limitless potential.
